Home Dental Cleaning Is Not Enough To Be Prevented From Gum Infection
Proper and good oral hygiene is not only for our dental health but as well as for general health. Poor oral hygiene can trigger various medical problems which includes gum diseases or infection, bone loss, cardiovascular or heart disease and respiratory diseases.
Gum disease or gum infection is a dental condition that is usually being indicated by gum inflammation and it one of the leading causes of tooth loss in adults. It can be treated and reversed, however if left untreated condition may further progress to a more advance state.
Regular brushing and flossing plays a vital role in preventing the occurrence of the condition. However, professional dental cleaning is necessary to effectively remove harmful bacteria that causes gum infection that regular brushing and flossing at home cannot achieve. Food particles that are left in between the teeth, gum line and hard to reach areas won't be easily removed with brushing and flossing alone, thus having the dental check ups at least twice a year is necessary.
